Lead Biomedical Technician - Lubbock, TX

Description Under the supervision of the Director of Facilities and Biomed Supervisor, the Lead Biomedical Technician is responsible for electrical safety inspections, periodic maintenance, performance testing and major reports of complex medical electronics in assigned areas of the hospital. Analyzes data from inspections, performance tests, periodic maintenance and repairs of equipment and prepares appropriate documentation. Has a broad comprehensive knowledge of biomedical equipment and may specialize in one or more areas. Has a good understanding of biomedical practices, procedures and equipment types. Attends service training schools that require travel outside Washington.

Required Qualifications:
  • Associate degree in Science Degree in Biomedical Engineering or Electronics Or equivalent education/experience
  • 2 years of Repair and maintenance of major medical electronic system and equipment.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Science Degree in Biomedical Engineering or Electronics.
