DescriptionControllerNewly created Controller position for one of my manufacturing clients located in Johnson County. As Controller, you will be responsible the the day to day accounting operations, annual budget process, annual inventory, monthly close and the consolidation and preparation of financial statements.Interested candidates must have a bachelor degree in accounting, 7 years of progressive accounting experience, have experience working in a manufacturing environment and working with operations and inventory. Manage the creation of the annual budget and forecasts and monitor them on a monthly basis
Lead the operations of the finance department which includes accounts payable, billings & collections, and payroll
Assess, execute and improve policies, procedures, controls and most methodologies
Check deliverables of self and team to certify they meet client expectations
Manage daily cash and prepare cash-flow reports, projecting cash needs at weekly and monthly intervals
Present executive committee and partners with monthly financial reports
Manage the timing for monthly billing and other cash management techniques to make sure cash collection is on time
Collaborate with executive team and partners to make efficient and effective firm-wide operation possible
Handle monthly and annual close of income statement and balance sheet, account reconciliations & G/L analysis
Act on items beyond formal job responsibilities
Research, prepare and execute Finance Department initiatives such as software and systems implementation and other departmental or firm-wide improvements, as required
