This 80+ year old Financial Services company has over $65 Billion in assets and providing financial assistance for housing and economic development in the communities they serve has a long term contract for a Cloud Infrastructure Administrator.You will work across the entire server lifecycle and will be key to providing stable platforms responsible for the configuration, maintenance, troubleshooting, upkeep and operation of both physical and cloud servers and associated applications in an enterprise environment. You will be involved in troubleshooting and problem resolution and will diagnose and resolve problems quickly. This role requires the ability to communicate technical concerns and solutions to their team and provide workable solutions. Additional responsibilities include installing and upgrading software, installing, and rebuilding existing servers and deploying IaaC in a cloud environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES- Problem investigation, troubleshooting and resolution
- Identify, recommend, and implement process improvement opportunities where applicable
- Maintain security standards, configuration compliance, patch management
- Configure and support Azure cloud environment as well as on premise environment
- Manage system infrastructure including Active Directory, Windows Server, File Server, Network, Backups and other software and hardware
- Monitor systems and respond quickly to any usability concerns
- Build Servers, Install Applications and Upgrade systems as needed
- Assist in integrating new applications and technologies into the current system
- Solid industry experience working with:
- Public and private cloud technologies (Azure, VMware)
- Virtualization w/ VMware or Hyper-V
- Microsoft Technology (Windows, Active Directory, GPO, SQL Server, SCCM)
- Strong knowledge of Server Administration / Cloud Server Administration
- Patching w/ SCCM or PowerShell
- Network Management (Cisco)
- Scripting languages (PowerShell)
- Basic knowledge of networking concepts
- Solid understanding of processes for incident, problem and change management
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Proven troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
