Description Our Irving client is seeking a regional controller for a 3 month engagement. This role is critical to our organization, primarily overseeing the management of complex financial affairs. You will be deeply involved in the financial operations of our business, including month-end duties, managing accounts, and streamlining billing processes.Responsibilities: Oversee month-end duties, including balance sheet reviews, reconciliations, and accruals Monitor Key Performance Indicators such as Inventory and Receivables Manage accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), and billing functions Perform cleanups in Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable sectors Coordinate equipment funding through leasing companies and supervise maintenance contracts Handle government and school district contracts, including managing government billing aspects Oversee Contract Administration, ensuring contracts are entered correctly and timely Streamline Billing – ensuring correct and consolidated invoicing for customers Address customer complaints arising from billing issues and perform relevant corrections Oversee successful delivery and acceptance procedures Handle possible lease buyouts Ensure all customer accounts are correctly documented in the system to prevent back-billing Address issues with aging receivables and mitigate bad write-offs on the P& LRequirements Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in a Controller role or similar position. Proficient in Accounting Functions including Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR). Experience in Auditing and Month End Close processes. Demonstrated knowledge of Accrual Accounting and Monthly Accruals. Familiarity with Contract Administration and Account Reconciliation is required. Previous involvement in Annual Inventory and Balance Sheet Reviews. Proficiency in Excel Formulas is essential. Candidate must have a strong understanding of financial regulations and legislation. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are required. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong leadership and organizational skills. Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports. High attention to detail and accuracy. Professional certification such as CMA or CPA is preferred.
