Accounts Payable Specialist

Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for an Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in Irving, Texas. In this role, you will be primarily responsible for reconciling work, managing accounts, and maintaining vendor files, among other duties. Your proficiency with various accounting software systems will be crucial for success in this role.Responsibilities: Analyze invoice/expense reports and charge expenses to accounts and cost centers accordingly. Reconcile processed work by verifying entries and comparing system reports to balances. Enter invoices and prepare checks in a timely manner. Maintain accounting ledgers by verifying and posting account transactions. Handle confidential information, ensuring it remains secure within the organization. Provide necessary supporting documentation during audits. Resolve discrepancies and issues related to purchase orders, invoices, or payments. Verify federal ID numbers and Certificates of Insurance for maintaining vendor files. Assist vendors and internal team members by accommodating requests and answering inquiries. Supervise team members, ensuring a high level of accuracy and productivity in data entry. Perform other duties as assigned. Requirements Must possess proficiency in Account Coding Experience with Accounting Software Systems is required Familiarity with ADP - Financial Services is essential Must have experience in using Concur Proficiency in ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning is necessary Must be adept at performing Accounting Functions Experience in Accounts Payable (AP) is a must Should have knowledge of Accrual Accounting Experience in Auditing is required Familiarity with Automated Clearing House (ACH) is necessary Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
