Description Become an imperative part of a steadily developing team at a thriving company as an Accounts Payable (A/P) Clerk. This short-term contract / temporary to hire position is offered through Robert Half. Matching, batching, and coding invoices, processing expense reports, updating and reconciling sub-ledger to G/L, processing checks, and resolving A/P issues are just a few of the responsibilities of the Accounts Payable Clerk. You will have the opportunity for career growth and advancement within this dynamic department. This Accounts Payable Clerk opportunity will be located in the Irving, Texas area and will be a short-term contract / temporary to hire position.Major responsibilities
Facilitate internal and external audits as needed
Sort, log, scan, and file invoices, checks, and other documents
Open, sort, and distribute daily department mail
Verify, log and mail checks, including expediting special handling
Conduct full-cycle A/P
Execute daily processes and controls accurately and in a timely manner; ensuring compliance with company policies
Execute additional tasks as needed
Support the AP/Finance Department by completing administrative tasks
Handle the customer service needs of internal business partners Requirements - Prior experience in an A/P role preferred
Attention to detail and demonstrated ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement
Earlier work involving Invoice Processing
Foundational knowledge in Batch Processing
Experience with Coding Invoices
Hands-on experience with Microsoft Excel
Good understanding of Payable Invoices
Comprehension of Reconcile Vendor Statements
Proven knowledge of Enter Invoices
Expertise in Weekly Account Payable
Previous experience working with Maintain Vendor Files
Experience with Microsoft Excel
General familiarity with Invoice Coding
Quality experience with Invoice Entry
Comprehensive knowledge of Accounts Payable (AP)
Well-founded grasp of Enter Vendor Invoices
Wide ranging experience with Invoice Payment
Strong familiarity with Code Invoices
Skills in Process Vendor Invoices
Practical knowledge of Invoice Discrepancies
Articulate customer service and interpersonal skills, especially when interacting with those in the technical and financial backgrounds
AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting, Business or similar preferred
