HBM Machinist
As a Horizontal Boring Machine machinist you will be responsible for producing high quality parts using a horizontal boring machine. You will interpret blueprints and technical drawings to determine the operations required and set up machines accordingly.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Read blueprints and other technical drawings to determine machining operations.
Set up and operate horizontal boring machine.
Select appropriate cutting tools, inserts, and fittings for each job.
Monitor the machining process to ensure that parts meet quality standards and specifications.
Perform routine maintenance tasks on machines to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
Document work performed including dimensions, tolerances, materials used, accurately and legibly.
Follow safety procedures and guidelines to prevent accidents and injuries at the workplace.
Maintain work area in a clean and orderly manner.
REQUIREMENTS:
Proven experience as a horizontal boring machine machinist. (Minimum of 2 years)
Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings.
Ability to use precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and gages.
General knowledge of safety and standard machining practices.
