Entry Level Carpentry Related Position.
Job Description: We are a company that specializing in converting shipping containers into homes, offices, workshops and storage units. We are looking to hire an entry-level construction worker. The ideal candidate will have a good work ethic, be willing to learn, and have a desire to grow within the company.
Pay depends of your skill sets, past job history.
Very Important:
MUST be able to pass a drug test.
Must have a clean background. Nothing major.
Having a TWIC would be good, or the ability to pass a background check to apply for a TWIC.
Responsibilities:
Assist in the installation of doors, windows, and other fixtures
Perform basic welding
Have a working knowledge of electrical
Understand frame walls, roofs, and floors according to blueprints and specifications
Prepare surfaces for painting and apply paint as required
Assist in the installation of small AC units
Maintain a clean and safe work environment
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent
Some experience in basic construction or trade skills (carpentry, electrical, painting, framing welding)
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics
Comfortable using basic hand and power tools
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
