JOB DESCRIPTION:
Administrative duties include preparing inventory for sale, communicating with third-party vendors, work with customers in a professional manner, cashier/receipting duties, ordering parts/supplies, applying invoices in the computer system.
JOB DUTIES:
Ensure maximum profitability and customer satisfaction.
Complete quality/safety checks and documentation of all completed work before delivery to client.
Assist with the management of automotive technicians, shop attendants, and their training.
Monitor and follow up on parts inventory and parts orders
Forecasts goals and objectives for the department and strives to meet them.
Monitors and controls the performance of the department using appropriate reports, tracking systems, and surveys.
Understands, keeps abreast of, and complies with federal, state, and local regulations that affect service operations, such as hazardous waste disposal, OSHA Right-to-Know, etc.
Accounts for all documents; ensures that none are missing and all are processed correctly.
Monitors technicians' daily productivity reports and corresponding payroll records.
Establishes and maintains good working relationships with customers to encourage repeat and referral business.
Maintains high-quality service repairs and minimizes comebacks. Conducts periodic spot checks of completed jobs for thoroughness and quality.
Serves as liaison with vendors.
Handles customer complaints immediately and according to company's guidelines.
Maintains safe work environment.
Maintains a professional appearance.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to effectively diagnose problems and efficiently manage a fast-paced, high-volume operation
Knowledge working with shop management software such as Auto Leap, ROWriter, ShopKey
Familiar using vehicle repair information lookup such as AllData and Identifix
Current driver's license
High school diploma or equivalent, continued education a plus
Must have prior experience as a service advisor / manager
Must be able to pass pre-employment screens (background & drugs)
