Our established personal injury law firm is seeking a skilled and experienced Litigation Attorney to join our team. The ideal candidate is a proactive, detail-oriented legal professional who can independently manage a litigation docket from inception through resolution. This includes handling all aspects of case management, court appearances, and client communication.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and screen potential personal injury cases
- Develop case strategies and manage cases through all stages of litigation
- Draft and respond to pleadings, motions, discovery, and legal correspondence
- Conduct and defend depositions
- Represent clients in hearings, mediations, pre-trial conferences, and trials
- Negotiate settlements and engage in alternative dispute resolution
- Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, court rules, and ethical obligations
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation for all case-related activity
- Remain in good standing and active membership with the Texas State Bar
Qualifications:
- Licensed to practice law in the state of Texas (in good standing)
- Demonstrated litigation experience, preferably in personal injury law
- Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills
- Ability to work independently and manage a full caseload
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and courtroom advocacy skills
