We’re looking for a dependable, hands-on Ranch Foreman to lead the daily operations of a private ranch in Liberty County. This is a full-time position ideal for a hardworking individual who takes pride in maintaining land, equipment, and facilities—and can manage tasks directly and/or delegate effectively. This role will oversee a small team of 2–3 employees to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the ranch.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee and perform maintenance of all grounds, buildings, and equipment
Manage property infrastructure including fences, fields, roads, and wooded areas
Prepare and maintain the ranch for seasonal hunting and fishing activities (deer, hogs, fishing)
Plan, oversee, and participate in tree farm management, including planting, cultivation, harvesting, and maintenance of trees for conservation, commercial, or aesthetic purposes
Operate and maintain heavy equipment (tractors, excavators, etc.)
Conduct mechanical, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and fence repairs as needed
Supervise, train, and schedule a team of 2–3 ranch staff to ensure productivity and quality of work
Qualifications
Must be able to commute to the Liberty County area
Strong leadership, planning, and organizational skills
Hands-on experience with mechanical repairs and maintenance
Skilled in operating large machinery and tools
Prior supervisory or foreman experience preferred
Willing to work a flexible 40+ hour schedule including some evenings and weekends
Must pass a background check and drug screening
