From Entry level mechanic helper up to master mechanic / operator.
$15hr up to $500 a day.
Pay is cash or 1099
Operators are responsible for damages caused by operator error or neglect.
Operator pay is per job. (Day rates).
Absolute requirements:
work ethic, honesty, transparency, on time.
heat tolerance. If you drink energy drinks all day, fat & out of shape this probably isn't for you.
reliable transportation or ready and willing to use UB3R app. We don't have set hours so if you always have to leave because of other obligations or your ride is waiting, this isn't for you. We work until the job is done.
getting dirty and mechanic'n. Working on hot dirty equipment. If you're an operator princess, bye Felicia.
keep a clean organized truck, trailer, machine and shop. Put tools up clean and organized exactly where they go. I will literally call your mom to come clean up after you. I will pay her to whoop you if I have to clean up your mess.
operators will have to learn how to cut down big trees.
drive truck and trailer towing heavy equipment
you can't be too good to clean or dump trash, pick up trash, mow, weedeat, etc. The shop & work area tidiness is your responsibility no matter who you are.
Preferred skills:
Mechanic

Mulcher operator
Hazardous tree work
Typical operator day includes:
6am: Arrive at work
Start truck, check tire pressure, fuel up,
Enter jobsite location and text customer eta
Drive 10 minutes up to 2 hour drive.
Allow 15 minutes to assess job & customer signs contact.
Run mulcher for 8 hours. Communicate with customer.
Up to 1 hour maintenance. Sharpen teeth with grinder, grease, clean machine, air filter, etc.
Drive back to shop
Re-supply, dump trash. Have everything 100% ready for the next day.
$15 hr typically for an 18 yo that doesn't know much but ready to work.
$400 a day is operator pay for an excellent operator that needs zero guidance and I don't have to tell him what to do.
$500 a day after 1 year.
Operator in training will be lower or hourly.
Operator working at the shop will be $20-$25hr
Mechanic pay will be discussed on an individual basis. It will be based on :
quality of work
accuracy of diagnosis
speed
how readily available you are for repairs to keep equipment going.
Other notes:
this is not a job where you can be late or take off early. It's all or nothing.
if you miss work or late once a month or more this probably isn't for you. I've heard all the excuses, please don't bother.
you can take off any day you need for any reason if you plan 7 days in advance.
