Job Title: Cherry Picker Operator
Location: Cypress, Texas
Reports To: Warehouse Manager and to Better Business Staffing LLC.,
dba BBS.
Job Summary:
The Cherry Picker Operator is responsible for operating a cherry picker or
order picker machine to safely retrieve and place products in high storage
locations within the warehouse. This role plays a crucial part in inventory
management and ensures that goods are accurately picked and placed,
while following safety protocols and operating the machinery efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Operating Cherry Picker:
o A cherry picker safely operates to retrieve items from high
shelving or racking systems.
o Maneuver the cherry picker through warehouse aisles to
access storage locations.
o Ensure that all items are picked up according to customer
orders and specifications.
2. Order Picking:
o Retrieve products from assigned locations, ensuring that items
are handled carefully and correctly.
o Accurately verify orders to ensure the right product and quantity
are selected.
o Place selected items on pallets or carts for further processing or
shipping.
3. Inventory Control:
o Assist in regular inventory checks to maintain accurate stock
levels.
o Communicate any discrepancies or damaged items to the
supervisor.
o Help with organizing stock in the warehouse, ensuring it is
stored safely and efficiently.
4. Safety and Compliance:
o Follow safety protocols when operating the cherry picker,
including using appropriate personal protective equipment
(PPE).
o Maintain a clean and safe work environment, ensuring that all
machinery and tools are in good working condition.
o Report any safety hazards or issues immediately to the
supervisor.
5. Quality Control:
o Inspect products for damage or defects before moving them.
o Ensure that all picked items are properly packed and stored to
prevent damage.
6. Team Collaboration:
o Work closely with other warehouse team members to ensure
smooth and efficient operations.
o Assist in loading and unloading shipments as needed.
Skills & Qualifications:
Experience: Previous experience operating cherry pickers or other
warehouse equipment is preferred.
Certifications: Cherry picker or forklift certification (where required
by local regulations).
Physical Requirements: Ability to lift, carry, and move heavy items
(up to 50 lbs.) and work in various temperature conditions.
Technical Skills: Basic computer skills for order verification and
inventory management systems.
Attention to Detail: Ability to accurately follow instructions and
handle products with care.
Safety Awareness: Knowledge of workplace safety practices,
especially in a warehouse environment.
Working Conditions:
Shift: Day Shift, 8 hours per day, with an hour’s lunch. The days off
will vary as well once the Warehouse Manager adjusts the schedule.
Location: Warehouse environment, with exposure to varying
temperatures and equipment noise.
Physical Demands: The position requires prolonged periods of
standing, walking, and lifting.
Must be a US Citizen.
Must have a Resume, no exceptions.
Must be able to communicate and speak efficiently and clearly.
Must be a Collaborator, responsible, efficient, and honest.
Must be able to work in a face paced environment yet pay diligence.
Must have reliable transportation, a personal owned vehicle, no uber
nor Metro bus system, you must have reliable transportation to get to
your place of employment, no exception.
Must be 18 years.

Must be willing to work as soon as possible, even after the interview.
Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening test,
absolutely no felonies accepted and must have been cleared for the
past 7 years.
Bilingual a plus.
