Bilingual (Spanish-English) Community Recruiter – In-Person & WhatsApp Outreach (Houston)
Pay: $20–$30/hour + bonuses for hitting targets

About the Role
We are looking for an energetic, bilingual (Spanish-English) recruiter to engage the Latin American community in Houston and invite them to participate in a short, 5-minute survey about sending money abroad.
You’ll be working both in-person at community locations and online via your personal WhatsApp networks or relevant community group chats to distribute the survey link. Participants will receive an immediate $5 incentive upon completion.
Your work will directly help shape a marketing campaign launching later this year.
What You’ll Do
Recruit participants in high-traffic community spots such as:
Fiesta Mart, La Michoacana Meat Market, El Ahorro, Seller’s Bros
Metro Transit Centers and Park & Ride locations in Latino neighborhoods
Remittance agent locations (Western Union, Ria, Sigue, La Nacional)
Community events, soccer leagues, flea markets, and churches
Share the survey link in WhatsApp groups or personal contact lists where you are already trusted (family, friends, community groups, sports teams, etc.).
Approach people in a friendly, respectful way and explain the 5-minute survey.
Assist participants in completing the survey on a tablet, phone, or laptop.
Distribute a $5 Amazon gift card (or equivalent) immediately after completion — for both in-person and WhatsApp referrals.
Track your daily recruitment numbers, locations visited, and number of completed surveys from WhatsApp outreach in a simple log.
What We’re Looking For
Fluent in Spanish & English (spoken; reading/writing is a plus)
Outgoing personality and comfortable starting conversations with strangers
Existing ties to the Latin American community in Houston a big plus
Well-connected in WhatsApp groups or local digital communities
Organized and dependable — able to track and report progress daily
Prior experience in community outreach, canvassing, or field research preferred
Access to transportation to move between locations
