Hi - I'm looking for a professional, experienced, patient and loving caregiver for my mom who has late stage Alzheimer’s and lives in Houston near the Medical Center.
Caregiver must have late stage Alzheimer's experience, ideally located within a 10-15 minute drive and willing to work 27-30 hours and back-up hours when needed, potentially weekends and shared holidays.
My mom's current caregivers are amazing. We consider them like family. We expect to build the same relationship with anyone who works with my mom.
MUST HAVES and please address these in your resume or notes:
- Must have references and clear work history (we do background checks)
- Ability and willingness to lead walking, exercise and stretching
- Experience with encouraging and assisting with ADLs
- Enough physical strength to occasionally help mom sitting and standing up
- Responsibility and experience to cook, clean house, make healthy meals, keep bed clean
- A car, license, insurance, good driving record and willingness to drive in the city
- Patient, loving, easy-going and professional in caregiving; flexible and open to feedback as mom’s needs change
- Willingness to be paid on the books and by direct deposit with tax withholdings filling in a W4 (no cash payments, no exceptions)
Nice to have: administrative experience who can help with scheduling, administrative tasks, mail, scanning, etc.
