We are seeking a skilled and passionate Sushi Chef to join our team. As a Sushi Chef, you will be responsible for creating delicious and visually appealing sushi dishes for our customers. Duties:
- Prepare and create a variety of sushi dishes according to recipes and customer preferences
- Ensure the quality and freshness of ingredients used in sushi preparation
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the sushi station and kitchen area
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure efficient workflow and timely service
- Adhere to food safety standards and guidelines in food handling, preparation, and storage
- Assist with menu planning and development of new sushi dishes
- Monitor inventory levels and place orders for ingredients as needed
- Provide assistance in other areas of the kitchen or restaurant as required
Skills:
- Strong culinary skills with expertise in sushi preparation techniques
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices
- Ability to create visually appealing presentations of sushi dishes
- Excellent knife skills and attention to detail in food preparation
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple orders simultaneously
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Experience working in the food industry, preferably in a sushi restaurant or similar setting
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new techniques and recipes
