We are currently seeking Event Captains to join our serving team for upscale weekend events, including wedding parties, quinceaneras, and corporate gatherings. This weekend position offers a fantastic opportunity to gain management skills and get experience in the events industry. As an Event Captain, you will receive comprehensive training and have the opportunity to move into a full-time position as Event Coordinator.
Pay and Benefits:
-Starting pay of $18 per hour
-Full meal provided per shift during breaks
-Opportunities for advancement and full-time positions within our office (event coordinator)
Requirements:
-Management Responsibilities: Oversee Waitstaff & Bartenders, manage dinner service, handle venue operations and closures, and ensure exceptional client and guest experiences.
-Assistance: Available to assist Event Coordinators with general event duties, rehearsals, and food tastings. Attend Event Briefing Meetings on Thursdays afternoons.
-Leadership: Lead by example, serving as a staff member while providing strong leadership. This includes cleaning tables, restrooms, and the ballroom as needed.
-Customer Service: Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills. Bilingual abilities are a plus but not required.
-Dress Code: Servers are required to self-provide and wear formal attire, including a black dress shirt, black vest, black bow tie, black dress pants, black dress shoes, black socks, and a black belt.
-Code of Conduct: Strict adherence to no smoking, drinking, or using foul language within the venue. No discrimination or harassment against staff or clients.
-Commute: Reliable transportation is a must, and living close to Pelazzio is a plus but not required.
-Training: Complete online training program for Waitstaff/Backwaiter & Captain positions. The first 30 days will be treated as a trial period as server to ensure you have comprehensive understanding of the staff tasks & responsibilities.
Schedule:
-Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, with some weekday availability as needed
-Afternoon/evening shifts
-18-24 hours per weekend
