C1 Staffing is now hiring Healthcare Hosts/Hostesses to join our hospital food service team! This position plays an important role in creating a positive experience for patients, guests, and staff by ensuring timely and accurate meal delivery and exceptional customer service.
Position Summary:
The Healthcare Host/Hostess is responsible for communicating effectively with patients, hospital staff, and guests to ensure accuracy and timeliness of patient meal trays and floor stock. The role includes both meal delivery and cafeteria cashier duties.
Responsibilities:
Deliver meal carts to patient units and assist with meal set-up at bedside
Ensure patient meal orders are accurate and on time
Collect and discard soiled trays after meals
Take inventory of nourishment areas and restock as needed
Accurately operate technical equipment such as meal tracking systems or tablets
Perform sanitation and cleaning of dishware, kitchen equipment, and work areas
Operate a cash register and process transactions in the hospital cafeteria
Provide friendly, professional service to patients, visitors, and staff at all times
Requirements:
Prior food service or healthcare experience preferred
Strong communication and customer service skills
Ability to stand, walk, and push meal carts for extended periods
Comfortable working in a hospital environment and following all safety and sanitation standards
Dependable, team-oriented, and professional appearance
Must be able to work flexible shifts, including weekends or holidays as needed
