Systems Engineer

Description We are offering a permanent employment opportunity for a Systems Engineer in the Energy/Natural Resources industry, located in Houston, Texas. The selected individual will work in an environment that includes both on-premise and cloud servers, with a focus on Azure platforms. Responsibilities: Building and maintaining servers, including SQL servers, in both on-premise and Azure environments. Acquiring and maintaining Azure certifications for enhanced system management. Implementing and managing cloud computing technologies, particularly Azure. Ensuring that all servers are equipped with the appropriate antivirus software to maintain system security. Leveraging DELL EMC Technologies for server and storage management. Utilizing Active Directory for network management and user authentication. Employing automation techniques to streamline processes and improve system efficiency. Overseeing backup technologies to protect data and ensure business continuity. Monitoring and managing customer accounts, and taking appropriate action when needed. Processing customer credit applications and maintaining accurate customer credit records. Requirements Proficiency in Cloud Technologies is necessary, with a focus on implementation and management. Experience with DELL EMC Technologies is required, particularly in the context of energy or natural resources industries. A strong understanding of Active Directory is essential, including management and troubleshooting. Familiarity with Automation processes is needed, preferably in a systems engineering capacity. Competence in Backup Technologies is crucial to ensure the safety and recovery of system data. Expertise in Microsoft Azure is required, with emphasis on its application in the energy or natural resources industries.
