Senior Director LogisticsAs a Senior Director Logistics here at Honeywell, you will play a critical role in providing strategic leadership and operational support to our Advanced Materials business unit. You will be responsible for overseeing all global logistics operations and procurement, managing supply chain risks, and driving efficiency and effectiveness in the logistics function. Your expertise in logistics will be instrumental in driving business growth and ensuring the smooth flow of materials and products.You will report directly to our Sr Director Logistics and you’ll work out of our Morris Plains, NJ or Houston, TX location on a hybrid work schedule.In this role, you will have a significant impact on the overall supply chain strategy of the organization by providing strategic guidance and operational support to the Advanced Materials business unit. You will be responsible for developing and implementing logistics processes and systems, managing logistics budgets and resources, and driving transformation and continuous improvement in logistics operations. Additionally, you will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the efficient and timely delivery of materials and products.You’ll flourish in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment where success is rewarded. In addition, the candidate must be able to operate in a highly matrixed environment, communicate with all levels of the organization, influence, and gain commitment, and continuously develop the talent around them.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide strategic leadership and operational support to the Advanced Materials business unit in all logistics matters
Create logistics strategy and lead the implementation
Lead and drive a continuous improvement culture
Drive effective balance on service levels and cost to serve in logistics – ensuring margin and desired service levels are maintained
Create visibility & accountability on all projects; facilitate the development of line-of-sight metrics to link logistics activities to Advanced Materials strategic initiatives
Utilize specific knowledge of the logistics market, trends, and capabilities to identify opportunities for cost reductions and savings opportunities
Create plans and ensure HSE procedures and protocol are followed by 3PL Providers through evaluation of KPI measurements
Ensure injury and incident free operations
Transportation & Warehousing:
Manage ocean, rail, truckload, less-than-truckload, bulk truck, small parcel, heavy weight air inbound and outbound transportation, and logistics fleets (Truck/Trailer, ISO tank, cylinder, railcar, chassis) and maintenance
Lead 3PL management of 14 DC and 12+ depot operations globally. Provide strategic leadership and oversight for 3PLs
Accountable for the development and implementation of the logistics procurement strategy for all transportation modes, warehousing, depots and storage yards, and assets and maintenance
Own logistics sourcing and contracting and manage all aspects of relationship with logistics service providers
Own key warehouse and carrier service level KPI’s – driving On-Time to First Promise (OTFP) delivery performance. Accountable for delivery reliability
Accountable for inventory accuracy, including responsibility for the execution of cycle counts and physical inventory
Responsible for the physical management of all material in warehouses
Budgetary ownership (Annual Operating Plan) for a $300+ million logistics spend
Develop logistics budget and manage spend including monthly reporting
Responsible for service and HSE performance and ensuring compliance for all transportation and warehousing activities
Projects:
Drive yearly logistics cost productivity including strategic development of project/program deck and tactical execution of projects ensuring cost savings are realized. Accountable for delivering the productivity target of 7-8% on the budget annually
Service: improve and provide logistics solutions to support customer satisfaction
HSE: lead improvement programs in transportation and warehousing
People Management:
Responsible for growth and development of team. Lead and develop direct reports – establish annual goals, conduct annual performance reviews, participate in annual talent planning process, drive succession planning and talent retention, and provide regular coaching and feedback. Attract, recruit, and develop logistics talent
U.S. PERSON REQUIREMENTSDue to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. citizen, U.S. permanent resident, or have asylum or refugee status in the U.S.YOU MUST HAVE
10+ years progressive experience in logistics or supply chain management for manufacturing shipper
5+ years’ experience at management level
Strong knowledge of logistics operations and procurement and best practices
Excellent leadership and management skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field
Experience in Chemical industry
Extensive experience in Logistics or relevant functions in Integrated Supply Chain
Extensive experience in Supervision/Managerial role in a matrix environment

Proven ability to set, define, and deliver a strategic vision
Excellent collaboration and influencing skills with management and cross functional teams. Proven ability to gain commitment at all levels in organization and drive change
