Phillips 66 & YOU - Together we can fuel the futureWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Information Technology (IT) Project Controls Analyst to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong hands-on background in project management, be both PMP and Agile certified, and bring valuable technical expertise in the oil and gas industry. As a Project Controls Analyst, you will play a crucial role in driving process improvements, enhancing project controls and governance, identifying automation opportunities, and actively monitoring project statuses to address potential risks effectively. The Project Controls Analyst must have the skills for self-direction, problem solving, and expedient effect decision-makingResponsibilities:Project Controls and Governance:

Align project controls and governance frameworks to corporate strategies

Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices in project management

Drive governance processes for Project execution processes, project voting, and closeout operations in SLA driven environment

Develop and maintain project schedules and budgets, ensuring they align with project goals and objectives

Support project review exercise to drive cost and execution efficiencies

Process Improvement:

Lead initiatives to analyze, optimize, and enhance project control processes

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement improvements and streamline workflows

Automation Opportunities:

Identify and evaluate automation opportunities within project controls and governance processes

Work closely with technology teams to implement automation solutions to increase efficiency

Risk Management:

Assess schedule, budget, and value Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to locate execution risk, and support project and program managers with risk mitigation

Reporting and Analysis:

Generate regular reports on project performance, highlighting key metrics and areas for improvement

Conduct data analysis to identify trends, variances, and areas for optimization

Stakeholder Collaboration:

Collaborate with project managers, team leads, and other stakeholders to ensure effective communication and alignment with project goals

Provide guidance and support to project teams in implementing project controls best practices

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (IT, Business, Engineering, or related discipline).

Proven five (5) or more years of progressive experience in requirement gathering, project management and delivering IT Projects, preferably within the oil and gas industry.

Solid understanding of Project lifecycle and SDLC processes.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills having customer focus, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Ability to drive process improvements and enable process-driven environment keeping a simplicity mindset.

Proficiency in project management tools and software, such as Microsoft Project, Microsoft Project Online (POL) or equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications:

Certification in project management (e.g., PMP)

Project Controls Analyst- PMO

Agile certifications (e.g., Certified ScrumMaster, Agile Certified Practitioner)

IT Project Controls experience

Background in Business Analysis for developing strategies and building requirements to improve project performance

Experience with reporting tools like Power BI or Tableau and Microsoft PowerPoint
