Our Acute Cancer Care Center provides emergency services to our critically ill patients, utilizing 42 beds, including 2 Resuscitation Rooms. We are a specialized unit that is dedicated to our Cancer patients, pediatrics through adults.HOURS: 11a-11p, every other weekend and rotating holidays.deal candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent and one year of recent experience working as a Nursing Assistant in an acute care setting. Must pass pre-employment skills test as required and administered by Human Resources. Prefer one year of recent experience working in direct patient care.The Patient Care Technician provides patient care services as assigned by a registered nurse. Impacts patient comfort and outcome of care.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONSActs as member of a multidisciplinary team that identifies and addresses patient care needs. Assists in completion of activities of daily living, mobilization, admit/discharge and obtaining vital signs. Updates and retrieves patient information. Ensures patient environment is maintained in a clean, safe and orderly manner.
