Job Title: Mechanical Design EngineerJob DescriptionCurrently sourcing for mechanical design engineers to join our team in Houston. Qualified candidates should have a minimum of 7 years of experience working as a mechanical engineer. Understanding of CAD, Solidworks as well as Plant 3D is required. In addition, candidates should also be confident in providing P&ID support.Candidates will work from a detailed order specification to convert customer requirements into detailed engineering specifications, including drawings and bill of materials. Responsibilities include creating typical component fabrication & assembly drawings, General Arrangement drawings, P&IDs, and PFDs. Candidates will create, update, and maintain drawings in AutoCAD, Inventor, and Plant 3D software, modify existing project drawings for modification and upgrade projects, and maintain project and product drawings under change control in AutoDesk Vault. They will check each design against job specifications and run numerical analysis in company tools to verify design parameters. In design, they must consider form, fit, and function; safety in assembly, maintenance, and operation; method and ease of manufacture; method and ease of assembly; and appropriate materials of construction.Hard Skills
