Job Description:
We are looking for a dedicated and experienced English Language Arts (ELA) Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for language, literature, and education, and will inspire students to develop their reading, writing, and critical thinking skills. As an ELA teacher, you will be responsible for creating engaging lessons, assessing student progress, and providing a supportive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with state standards and promote critical thinking, reading comprehension, and writing skills.
Foster a love for literature and language through diverse and culturally relevant reading materials.
Teach grammar, vocabulary, writing, and reading comprehension in an interactive and student-centered manner.
Assess and monitor student progress regularly, providing timely feedback and adapting instruction as necessary.
Collaborate with other teachers, staff, and parents to support student learning and development.
Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and growth.
Prepare students for standardized tests and other assessments related to language arts.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in English, Education, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
