The Senior Safety Coordinator will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing safety programs and initiatives to ensure a safe working environment for all employees. This role requires a proactive approach to safety, exceptional communication skills, and a deep understanding of regulatory compliance and best practices in industrial safety.You will make an impact by:
Safety Program Development and Implementation:
Develop and implement comprehensive safety policies, procedures, and programs to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify hazards and recommend corrective actions.
Collaborate with management to integrate safety protocols into daily operations.
Training and Education:
Design and deliver safety training programs for employees at all levels, including new hire orientation, annual refresher training, and specialized safety training.
Ensure that all employees are aware of and comply with safety policies and procedures.
Incident Investigation and Reporting:
Lead investigations into workplace accidents, incidents, and near-misses to identify root causes and develop preventive measures.
Prepare detailed reports on safety incidents and provide recommendations for improvements.
Risk Assessment and Hazard Control:
Conduct risk assessments and job safety analyses to identify potential hazards and implement control measures.
Develop and maintain safety data sheets (SDS) and ensure proper labeling and handling of hazardous materials.
Ergonomic Risk Assessment and Improvements:
Perform ergonomic assessments to identify and mitigate risks associated with workstation design and task performance.
Develop and implement ergonomic improvement plans to reduce musculoskeletal disorders and enhance employee comfort and productivity.
Provide training and guidance on ergonomic best practices and proper body mechanics.
Regulatory Compliance:
Stay current with OSHA, EPA, and other relevant safety regulations and standards.
Ensure factory operations comply with all safety and process control regulations.
Emergency Preparedness and Response:
Develop and implement emergency response plans and procedures.
Coordinate and conduct regular emergency drills and exercises.
Safety Culture Promotion:
Foster a culture of safety awareness and continuous improvement throughout the organization.
Act as a safety champion, promoting best practices and recognizing safety achievements.
You’ll win us over by having the following qualifications:Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Experience in a safety coordinator or similar role, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
In-depth knowledge of OSHA regulations and other relevant safety standards.
Proven experience in developing and implementing safety programs and training.

The pay range for this position is $71,190 - $122,040. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications and premium geographic location.
