A successful Assistant Ramp Manager possesses critical thinking, deadline driven, analytical, and communication skills to thrive in a rapid fast paced environment.Responsibilities
Partners with Ramp Manager to ensure KPIs are met, Train Performance, Lifts per Hour & Cost per Hour, etc.
Develops and drives existing staff to enhance Engagement & Retention within the Ramp
Builds collaborative partnerships between ConGlobal and local railroad officers
Acts as key point of contact between ConGlobal and our customers
Enforces and upholds all ConGlobal rules, regulations, and policies
Approaches violations with care and administers disciplinary actions when required
Monitors and approves terminal purchases for payment & manages purchases within budget
Approves weekly time & attendance and ensures data is accurate and timely
Partners with Talent Acquisition to ensure the Ramp is fully staffed
Owns the Training and Orientation process of all employees to ensure their ongoing success
Provides Ramp Metrics & Reports as needed
Other duties as assigned (administrative & non-administrative)

1-3 years of previous management experience
Must have exceptional organizational, multi-tasking and time management skills
Excellent Verbal and written communication skills
Experience in intermodal, transportation, logistics or warehousing operations
Strong Work Ethic
Able to work outside in all weather conditions
