Staff Accountant

Description We are offering a long-term contract opportunity with the potential to go full-time for a Staff Accountant in Frisco, Texas. This role is centered around providing financial information to the organization by researching and analyzing accounting data and preparing reports. The industry focus is broad, and the workplace is a fast-paced, dynamic environment.Responsibilities: Accurately process and record company transactions including accruals, amortization, and journal entries for prepaids Conduct General Ledger (GL) and bank reconciliations, ensuring all financial reporting deadlines are met Manage outsourced tax work, keeping track of various returns and other related activities Complete monthly, quarterly, and year-end close procedures by preparing balance sheet rec's Maintain and manage detailed amortization schedules Monitor and analyze department work to develop more efficient procedures and use of resources while maintaining a high level of accuracy Advise staff regarding the handling of non-routine reporting transactions.Requirements Demonstrated experience with General Ledger maintenance is necessary Ability to prepare and post Journal Entries accurately is essential Experience with Month End Close procedures is crucial Familiarity with Accruals and Accrual Accounting is important Understanding of Amortization procedures is beneficial Candidate should have strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team is necessary Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, is preferred A bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field is required Previous experience in a similar role is advantageous.Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
