Mechanical Integrity InspectorJob Summary:The Mechanical Integrity Inspector manages the Mechanical Integrity inspection program for assigned process unit or units. Ensures all inspections are planned and performed correctly and meet the applicable code, jurisdictional and/or company requirements. Performs inspections and coordinates nondestructive evaluations (NDE) examiners and other inspection contractors.Responsibilities / Duties Reviews and manages the inspections due for assigned unit or units in compliance with Global Mechanical Integrity Manual (GMIM)/Global Mechanical Integrity Safety Standard (GMISS) and DOT Integrity Management Plan (IMP). Reviews and manages the list of non-conformances for assigned unit or units. Performs or oversees inspections and is responsible for the accuracy and maintenance of the SAP equipment inspection database and or updating inspection history in equipment file. Performs Risk Analysis and manages inspection plans. Participates in assigned unit updates and planning meetings to be aware of unit needs and priorities. Participates in the identification of end of life items and makes recommendations to the Plant Maintenance Engineer. Provides technical expertise (Inspection Frequency, Type, and Requirements) to the Plant, Technology Implementation for Competitive Advantage (TICA), and Technical Expertise and Support (TES) Teams. Provides day-to-day and occasional off-hour inspection support to the plant. Completes compliance requirements, including compliance matrix, and other training for position, as required. Participates in unit shut-downs by supplying inspection scopes along with repair scopes. Participates in unit day to day maintenance by supplying inspection scopes along with repair scopes.Required Qualifications: Minimum of 5 years of experience in Inspection/NDT role. Must have two or more of the following American Petroleum Institute Certifications: API 510, 570. Knowledgeable of ASME Codes and Standards Working knowledge of advance non-destructive testing techniques A minimum requirement for this U.S. based position is the ability to work legally in the United States. No visa sponsorship/support is available for this position, including for any type of U.S. permanent residency (green card) process.Preferred Qualifications: Previous experience using SAP, Microsoft Excel and Word Non-Destructive Testing Level II UT Working knowledge of corrosion damage mechanisms (API 571) and basic metallurgy Working knowledge of welding processes and codesEducation: High School diploma or equivalent is required.Physical Requirements:Able to meet the following physical demands of the job, with or without reasonable accommodations: Lift, push, and pull up to 55 lbs. Frequent bending, reaching, and lifting Stand 50% of the time. Walk for extended periods of time Work at heights, climb stairs and ladders. Work in tight and closed in spaces. Wear all required personal protective equipment, including but not limited to respirator. Work in an area of intense or continuous noise.
