Registered Nurse (RN) Maternal NewbornMaternal Level IV designated facility is looking for top skilled Mother/Baby nurses. Is that you?· Work location: Texas Health Ft. Worth, 1300 Pennsylvania Avenue, Fort Worth, TX 76104· The Women’s Center at Texas Health Ft. Worth, a MAGNET , and Texas 10-Step facility, has been named “Best Place to Have a Baby” and Maternal Level IV designated facilityWork hours: Full Time Nights (6:30PM-7AM) for 36 hours/week, with Weekend and holiday requirementsMaternal/Newborn, Couplet Care Department highlights:· Self-Scheduling that helps with work/life balance as well as opportunities for educational and career growth· Robust Unit Based Council (UBC) and engaged leadership team· 27-bed Maternal/Newborn unit· Average between 275 to 300 deliveries per month· Utilize the following skills: Breastfeeding education/resources, responsible for both mom and baby (Couplet Care)Here’s What You Need· Associate degree from an accredited Nursing program OR Nursing Diploma required· BSN is preferred· One-year experience as a Registered nurse (RN), or completion of an RN residency program required.· One year or more of Mother/Baby, Couplet Care RN experience strongly preferred· BCLS – Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly Required· NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Program within 90 days is required· CPI - Crisis Prevention Intervention Training Maintained Annually 90 Days Required· Demonstrate a high degree of confidentiality, positive interpersonal skills, and ability to function in a fast-paced environment.What You Will DoDelivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process· Assesses the patient· Plans the care of the patient· Intervenes as appropriate· Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions· Incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care.· Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others need for information· Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out of hospital transfers.Additional perks of being a Texas Health Nurse· Benefits include 401k, PTO, medical, dental, Paid Parental Leave, flexible spending, tuition reimbursement, student Loan repayment program, nursing career ladder as well as several other benefits.· Delivery of high quality of patient care through nursing education, nursing research and innovations in nursing practice.· Strong Unit Based Council (UBC).· A supportive, team environment with outstanding opportunities for growth.· Explore our Texas Health careers site (https://jobs.texashealth.org/) for info like Benefits (https://jobs.texashealth.org/benefits) , Job Listings by Category (https://jobs.texashealth.org/professions) , recent Awards (https://jobs.texashealth.org/awards) we’ve won and more.Do you still have questions or concerns?
