Reliability & Maintainability (across multiple levels)The Reliability & Maintainability (R&M) Engineer is responsible for developing, managing and communicating the reliability & maintainability methodology for the H1 Program to internal and external customers. This position is based at Bell's Ft. Worth, TX headquarters facility. The Reliability & Maintainability (R&M) Engineer shall provide the H1 Program with professional Reliability and Maintainability engineering support.What you'll be doing as a Reliability & Maintainability Engineer:Collect, analyze and score Failure Reporting, Analysis and Corrective Action System (FRACAS) data. Perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA), Engineering Investigations (EI) and Corrective Action Plans (CAP) for failed aircraft components.Perform Failure Modes, Effects and Criticality Analyses (FMECA) and testability assessments including Highly Accelerated Life Testing (HALT), Highly Accelerated Stress Screening (HASS), fault detection and fault isolation.Assess manufacturing parametric and maintenance removal times.Formulate reliability analyses and predictions (including development of failure rate estimates based on handbook techniques and historical data) using Windchill Quality Solutions software.Develop and maintain Reliability and Maintainability assessments / predictions (MTBF, MTTR, etc.) of the aircraft based on standard handbook techniques and available historical data for electrical, electronic, and mechanical components. Analyze scheduled maintenance tasks to ascertain duration and man-power requirements.Define spare component demands. Work with Cost Engineering to incorporate replacement component costs into the R&M assessment to develop and maintain the Direct Operating Cost (DOC) assessment.Review peer and supplier analyses of above for consistency, completeness, and accuracy.Identify opportunities to improve reliability, maintainability and DOC.
