Maintenance Worker

This position will be responsible for support in the maintenance and repair of the physical plant, grounds and all equipment. Ensure Fire Alarm Inspections are performed for each ICF-MR homes twice a year; ensure Fire Marshall Inspections for each ICF-MR homes annually. Inspect Fire-Extinguishers as required. Sprinkler System Inspections where applicable twice a year. Ensure Smoke Detector sensitivity tests are conducted every two years. Support in repairs and maintains kitchen, housekeeping, and other mechanical equipment in good working order. Performs maintenance of heating and air condition units; includes gas pressure test by a certified plumber annually. Assist in coordinating maintenance of electrical and plumbing fixtures, repairs all damages to hallways, walls, ceiling, floors, roofs and rooms. Paint and refinishes building surfaces. Other duties as assigned. High School Diploma/G.E.D., one year maintenance and/or electrical experience is preferred. Must be able to effectively communicate (read, write and understand English). Must be at least 19 years of age and possess a driver’s license along with a good driving record and criminal history.
