Piper Companies is currently seeking an experienced
IT Help Desk Technician to support a large and growing federal business consulting firm n the El Paso, Texas area. Responsibilities for the IT Help Desk Technician:- Offer Tier 1 technical support for end users at our client's site in a courteous manner.
- Conduct desk-side/in-person user assistant to include software\hardware troubleshooting, upgrade, installation, and configuration.
- Follow SOPs to resolve various trouble/request tickets and carry out system administration tasks.
- Update SOPs as needed and add knowledgebase entries
- Escalate and communicate reported issues to System Administrators and Engineers as needed.
- Provide a brief IT orientation and training to new staff at the site as necessary.
- Manage user accounts in Microsoft Active Directory/Azure AD.
- Manage user mailboxes in Microsoft Exchange Online.
- Onsite IT asset tracking and management
- 1-2+ years of technical or helpdesk experience required
- CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft MCP preferred.
- Experience providing software, hardware, network, and computer user support
- Working understanding of Ethernet, TCP/IP, network cabling, wireless, and remote access practices.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft products and technologies
- Must be a US Citizen
- $45,000 - $50,000 based on skills and experience
