Piper Companies is currently seeking an experienced IT Technician to support our clients staff and management, along with other workers in a support role for end users and various sites in a courteous manner.

Additionally, the IT Technician will:

• Provide Tier 1 technical support for end users at our client's site in a courteous manner.
  • Perform desk-side/in-person user assistant to include software\hardware troubleshooting, upgrade, installation, and configuration.
  • Follow Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) to resolve various trouble/request tickets and carry out system administration tasks.
  • Update SOPs as needed and add knowledgebase entries
  • Escalate and communicate reported issues to System Administrators and Engineers as needed.
  • Provide a brief IT orientation to new staff at the site as necessary.
  • Manage user accounts in Microsoft Active Directory/Azure AD.
  • Manage user mailboxes in Microsoft Exchange Online.
  • Shipping/Receiving IT equipment
  • Onsite IT asset tracking and management
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Key Knowledge:
  • Must be a United States Citizen
  • High School diploma is required; Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or similar field is preferred
  • CompTIA A+, Network+ or Microsoft MCP preferred.
  • Must be able to lift and carry IT equipment weighing 50 pounds
  • Minimum of 1 - 2 years of technical or helpdesk experience is required
  • Experience providing software, hardware, network, and computer user support
  • Working knowledge of Ethernet, TCP/IP, network cabling, wireless, and remote access practices.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows 10, Microsoft Office 365 cloud apps and services to include but not limited to Microsoft Teams, OneDrive and SharePoint.

The Technician will be required to work during emergency or crisis situations, including inclement weather, natural and man-made disasters, etc.

Vehicle - Valid driver's license, access to an automobile, insurance, and willingness to drive to off-site locations, highly preferred. Able and willing to travel domestically up to 25% of time.

Pay for this opportunity can go up to $47k and comes with full benefits!
