Custodian - The Toro Company

DUTIES:¨ Assures daily custodial items are completed by way of cleaning, sweeping and removing discarded items to dumpsite as scheduled, utilizing basic custodial tools: brooms, mops, sweepers, dust pan, etc. and/or other related custodial equipment or tools.¨ Directs and assists in the arrangement of offices to include some assembly of office equipment and moving office furniture various destinations.¨ Maintains all employee public areas: Restrooms, Offices, Production areas and Cafeterias/Lunchrooms.¨ Assures adequate supplies are ordered and maintained for Restrooms and general maintenance.¨ Must be able to respond to emergency maintenance, in the absence of the Company Maintenance Personnel.¨ Adheres to approved Company, Safety and Department policies and procedures.¨ Bloodborne Pathogen certification is helpful. Successful candidate will be certified within 30 days of selection.¨ Performs other duties as assigned or are not included here but are within the context of duties defined.QUALIFICATIONS:q High School Diploma or equivalent.q Six (6) months to one (1) year experience as a Custodian or Janitor, preferably in a manufacturing environment or high t traffic environment.Physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
