SAFETY COORDINATOR
JOB REQUIREMENTS
· Assists plans and implements safety policies and procedures with local, state, and federal rules and regulations including Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and Department of Transportation (DOT) to Ensure compliance regarding transportation and workplace safety.
· Monitoring driver qualification files and the hiring and selection process including orientation
· Reviewing hours of service records for accuracy
· Assuring DOT drug/alcohol program is compliant with regulations
· Work with team to ensure compliance and demand maintenance are compliant Overseeing and implementing the elements of a Crash Management process including coordination of reporting, investigation, documentation, and management of incidents
· Review accident file contents for accuracy and documents needed
· Gatekeeper for accident-preventable decisions. Conducts post-accident investigation and prepares reports identifying possible accident causes and hazards for use by comp
