Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly organized and proactive On-Site Driver Manager to oversee and manage our team of drivers. The primary responsibility is to ensure that all packages are collected from the warehouse and delivered on time. The ideal candidate will be on-site daily to coordinate driver activities, manage work schedules, monitor performance metrics, and provide support as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Daily Coordination: Arrive at the warehouse each day to ensure all drivers collect their assigned packages and leave on schedule.
- Work Assignment: Assign daily routes and tasks to drivers based on the delivery schedule and package volume.
- Performance Monitoring: Track and monitor daily performance metrics, including delivery success rates and any discrepancies in the data.
- Reporting: Compile and submit daily reports on driver activities, delivery performance, and any issues encountered during the day.
- Problem Solving: Handle any issues that arise, including dispatching additional support or rescue for drivers facing difficulties during their routes.
- Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for drivers, ensuring clear communication and prompt resolution of any concerns or issues.
- Data Analysis: Regularly review and analyze delivery data to identify areas for improvement and implement necessary changes.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Previous experience in logistics, transportation, or warehouse management is highly desirable.
- Skills: Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to quickly assess situations and make decisions under pressure.
- Tech-Savvy: Comfortable using software tools for scheduling, reporting, and data analysis.
- Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a team, with a focus on improving performance and efficiency.
Requirements:
- Availability: Must be available to work early mornings and be on-site daily.
- Driver’s License: A valid driver’s license is required.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand, walk, and manage physical tasks related to warehouse and transportation operations.
