Job Summary:
We are looking for a dedicated Lead Mechanic to assist in leading our our classic car technicians. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge and expertise in classic automobiles. As a Asst. Lead Mechanic, you will be responsible for working on the maintenance and repair of these vehicles, ensuring quality workmanship and timely completion.
This is NOT an entry level position; please do not apply if you have no experience. Looking for the right person who knows their way around an old classic and can diagnose problems and work on them.
Duties:
- Manage and supervise a team of mechanics to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality service delivery.
- Perform automotive diagnostics to identify issues and recommend appropriate repairs.
- Able to provide guidance in repairing vehicles so they are safe and roadworthy.
- Work on powertrain components such as engines, transmissions, and drivetrain systems.
- Troubleshoot and repair automotive electrical systems.
- Conduct general automotive repairs to ensure vehicles are safe and reliable.
Skills:
- Knowledge of engines; both with carburation and fuel injection
- Strong knowledge of powertrain components and systems.
- Knowledge in installing Holly Sniper Kits
- Ability to diagnose and repair automotive electrical systems.
- Familiarity with various automotive diagnostic tools and equipment.
- Excellent communication skills to interact with team members and customers effectively.
