Service Vehicle (Take Home)
Peerless HVAC, Inc is a growing small business. We are currently seeking an experienced HVAC Service Technician for commercial and residential work servicing the Dallas/Fort Worth area. The ideal candidate for this position must have a minimum of 3 years of recent verifiable experience installing, repairing, and maintaining commercial and residential hvac equipment.
Responsibilities:
Install, maintain and repair heating, ventilation, and cooling units for residential and commercial customers. Diagnose and repair of electronic, mechanical and electrical components of these systems
Operate power tools, hand tools, gauges, and measuring equipment to perform service to the equipment
Be able to track service-related tasks, materials, and labor hours
Travel to job sites
Identify, report and educate the homeowner on potential opportunities for additional business (newer system, service contracts, and additional services)
Perform routine commercial and residential preventative maintenance
Adhere to all safety policies and procedures
Keep current with A/C manufacturers products concerning installation, service, operation, repair, and maintenance.
Prepare for installation and repairs by examining building layouts, gather material and anticipate difficulties.
Safely operate and maintain company service vehicles
Qualifications:
Universal EPA certification and current State registration required. Nate certification and State certification is desirable but not required.
Good driving record and current valid driver’s license
Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test and background check
Strong customer service and communication skills
Excellent work ethic and leadership skills
Works well with others
Must be hardworking, fast, efficient, wear a uniform, clean-cut and willing to learn.
Minimum of 3 Years Commercial/Residential HVAC Experience
Experience with chillers and Pnumatics is a plus
Ability to follow a scope of work
Ability to understand use of gauges meters, measuring instruments, and hand/power tools
Able to explain work performed to management and customers
Able to understand wiring diagrams
Ability to handle physical workload
Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
