Our boutique style grooming salon is in huge demand, and we need to add another EXPERIENCED groomer! We are extremely busy due to our high-quality work, world-class customer service, and beautiful facilities. Additionally, since relocating to Texas from Hawaii, we have had the honor of winning the "Best of Azle" every year since we opened. All of this has provided us with wonderful clientele, and an ever-increasing market share. We are in search of a groomer to add to our amazing team who will continue offering exceptional grooming and the top-notch customer service that our clients are accustomed to.
As a Pet Groomer, you will be responsible for providing professional grooming services to all breeds, large and small. If you have a love for animals and are looking for a career in grooming with a reputable company, we would like to hear from you.
Duties:
- Perform grooming services such as bathing, brushing, trimming, and styling pets' fur
- Provide nail trims, ear cleaning
- Assess and address any skin or coat issues
- Handle pets with care and ensure their safety throughout the grooming process
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the grooming area
- Communicate effectively with pet owners to understand their specific grooming preferences
-Effective use of grooming software to view schedule, keep proper grooming notes and check out clients.
Skills:
- 2 years' experience in pet grooming
- Knowledge of different breeds and their specific grooming requirements
- Proficiency in handling various grooming tools & equipment, including trimming and hand scissor skills a must
- Ability to lift heavy animals and perform physical tasks associated with grooming
- Exceptional customer service skills to interact with pet owners and address their concerns
- Patience and compassion when working with animals, especially those who maybe anxious or fearful
- Understanding of Current grooming industry standards to ensure health and wellbeing of animals
- Basic knowledge of dog training techniques is a plus
- Pet First Aid/CPR is a plus
- Patience with animals and good handling skills
- Ability to be physically active
- Ability to work effectively on a team and independently
- Extremely reliable & punctual
- Have a strong work ethic
- Detail-oriented
- Available to work some holidays and weekends

Compensation & Hours:
- Commission based pay (commensurate with experience level)
- 7:30 am – 5:30 pm (hours vary based upon client schedule. Our posted business hours are 8 am to 5 pm)
- Tuesday through Saturday

We conduct paid working interviews, that consist of grooming 1-2 dogs to the qualifying applicant
Work Environment
Grooming dogs is very active job. It involves standing, bending, stooping, lifting and cleaning. Our professional salon is equipped with electric motor driven, hydraulic ultra-low low tables, but our groomers should be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
Keeping grooming areas clean and sanitary requires the use of commercial cleaning agents. Sensitivity to these chemicals and/or animal biohazards may require the use of gloves and/or face masks.
Team Requirements:
The members of our team understand that when working with animals, they must value integrity, responsibility, and patience. Understanding the needs of our animals and their behavior is not always predictable or easy.
Although we make every attempt to accommodate our guests, grooming is not a fun experience for all dogs. Our groomers should be patient and attentive during every groom. We believe that the comfort of the dog outweighs breed standard requests.
