Henry Oddo Austin & Fletcher, a downtown Dallas firm, is seeking a litigation associate attorney to join its team of highly motivated and experienced professionals. This is an opportunity for a motivated associate with civil defense litigation experience and exceptional written, organizational, and analytical skills to be part of a team that handles a diverse range of litigation matters including personal injury defense, transportation, insurance, commercial, property owners’ association, and employment disputes.
Qualifications
Admitted to practice and in good standing in the state of Texas
2–5 years of civil defense litigation experience
Superior communication, writing, research, and analytical skills
Experience handling written discovery, motions, hearings, and depositions
Strong work ethic and ability to perform under pressure
Ability to work collaboratively and in a team environment
Responsibilities
Represent clients in personal injury defense, transportation, insurance, property owners’ association and commercial litigation from inception to resolution
Collaborate with other attorneys and support staff
Regularly manage written discovery, motions to dismiss and for summary judgment, legal research, and preparation of analysis for clients
Regularly handle client meetings, court appearances, depositions of fact and expert witnesses, and mediations
