This job is a member of the Integrated Operations Team within the Integrated Operations Division.
Responsible for analyzing crew operations data, builds statistical predictive models and creates customized reports and PowerPoint presentations for executive leaders.
What you'll do
Derive meaningful and actionable insights from data that to help improve the crew operation
Develops statistical predictive models on large-scale datasets using statistical modeling such as linear regression, logistic regression, decision trees and other machine learning, or data mining techniques
Builds optimization and combinatorics models for optimal resource allocations
Performs advanced business analysis using SQL and SAS to develop prescriptive operational improvement plans
Builds data visualization tools for root cause analysis
Automates and improves current programs, processes, reports and forecasts using SAS Macros, Excel VBA, SQL, etc.
Analyzes and develops requirements and provides documentation for IT projects
Develop presentations and present findings with recommendations to key stakeholders and senior management
Work collaboratively with various teams across the crew domain (Crew Scheduling, Crew Planning, Flight, Flight Service, IOC, etc.) to develop innovative and insightful solutions to improve crew performance
All you'll need for successMinimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience
Bachelor's Degree in Applied Statistics, Data Mining, Operations Research, Industrial Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Analytics or related quantitative field
3 years of related experience
1 year of experience with SQL querying and/or reporting or equivalent coursework
Preferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience
Master's Degree in Applied Statistics, Data Mining, Operations Research, Industrial Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Analytics or will have specified degree within 6 months.
Programming experience with Python, Aviation experience, Credit scoring experience, Marketing analytics Experience
Skills, Licenses & Certifications
Highly proficient in use of Microsoft Office software, including Access, Excel, Word and PowerPoint
Excellent project management and organizational skills, with attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects on an ongoing basis
Excellent quantitative and analytical skills with an aptitude for problem solving
Ability to work effectively, meet deadlines, and shift priorities appropriately in a fast paced, dynamic work environment with great attention to detail
Knowledge of data processing/manipulation languages such SQL, R, Python in large database environments
