URGENT NEED FOR DISPATCHER/ROUTER.
Join our World-Class Non-Emergency Medical Transportation team. Experience is preferred but we can train.
Key responsibilities include:
Receiving and processing transportation requests: Answering calls from patients, caregivers, and healthcare facilities to gather details about pick-up and drop-off locations, appointment times, and patient needs.
Dispatching vehicles and drivers: Assigning the most suitable vehicle and driver based on patient needs (wheelchair accessibility, special medical needs) and scheduling pick-up times.
Communication with drivers and patients: Maintaining contact with drivers to provide updates on schedule changes, patient status, and any special instructions.
Route optimization: Utilizing dispatch software to efficiently plan routes and minimize travel time.
Monitoring vehicle status: Tracking vehicle locations through GPS to ensure timely arrival and address any delays.
Addressing issues and complaints: Resolving concerns related to scheduling conflicts, and driver or client behavior.
Required skills and qualifications:
Fluence in English and Spanish.
Ability to work with minimum supervision.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with patients, caregivers, healthcare providers, and drivers.
Strong organizational abilities to manage multiple transportation requests simultaneously.
Proficiency with dispatch software and GPS tracking systems OR ability to learn.
Ability to work under pressure and make quick decisions in time-sensitive situations.
