Job Summary:
We’re looking for a dynamic and passionate Chefrista to join our team—a unique, multi-skilled individual who brings both culinary creativity and specialty coffee expertise to the table. As a Chefrista, you’ll be equally at home crafting delicious dishes in the kitchen, baking amazing cinnamon rolls and preparing Café de Olla con leche. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, values quality and consistency, and loves connecting with both food and people.
Key Responsibilities:
Chefrista Duties:
● Prepare high-quality coffee-based drinks, teas and seasonal beverages.
● Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen.
● Deliver excellent customer service with a warm and approachable attitude.
● Calibrate and maintain equipment for consistency and quality.
● Plan, prep, and execute menu items with a focus on freshness, taste, and presentation.
● Ensure proper food handling, sanitation, and kitchen cleanliness at all times.
● Collaborate on menu development, including specials and seasonal items.
● Manage inventory and coordinate with suppliers for food and kitchen needs.
● Train and supervise kitchen support and food service staff, as needed.
● Stay true to our theme while maintaining a level of quality unsurpassed in the area.
Skills & Qualifications:
● Experience as both a good cook (Chef, Sous/Station Chef, Line or Home Cook) and a coffee coinsurer.
● Strong multitasking ability and comfort working across kitchen and front-of-house.
● Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
● Ability to work early mornings, weekends, and in a fast-paced environment.
● Food Handling, Culinary Arts and/or Barista Training are all a plus.
