Position SummaryThe position ensures the best in class execution on all Logistics operations and planning activities related to moving products through the Samsung Electronics America international and domestic supply chain(s). Our qualified candidate will be initially be charged with stabilizing new initiatives, implementing SOW’s and enabling long-term support capabilities / structure. This will include streamlining and organizing communication and support between Logistics (Warehouse, Transportation), SCM, Demand Fulfillment, MPC (Packaging), Account teams, and Customers (Internal/External). They will be a key player in linking each node of the Logistics/Supply Chain, ensuring that each party is informed and aligned with critical cut-off times, capacity planning and risk management.This role will develop, build consensus and support the Short, Mid and Long-Term Logistics strategies for the Mobile Logistics organization. Additionally, the role will maintain relationships across Logistics, Warehouse and other SEA business units to ensure that shipments are delivered to the warehouses and customers within the documented KPI’s.This role will actively support the Transportation, Warehouse, Planning and Process Compliance Services for SEA, identifying areas for performance improvements and increase collaboration. Problems and issues faced are vague, and require reasoning of broader set of issues and variables to identify root cause within job area. Applies in-depth, advanced knowledge and skills of the Domestic and Global transportation markets, with the keen understanding of external environment factors that may disrupt supply chain activities. Provides expert advice, coaching and counseling to senior executives as it relates to the Transportation industry and internal Planning Services. Participating with senior level players across the organization to develop and execute Short, Mid and Long-Term strategies.Role and Responsibilities

Lead a staff of 3-5 individuals in the daily execution, management and escalation of operations
Provide strategic industry direction, insight, trends, disruptors and risks to Leadership. Focused on new technologies, best practices, emerging and existing partners
Support management of 9+ vendor partners with a significant annual spend (Warehouse, Inbound, Outbound, Parcel)
Generate and provide key insight into Daily, Weekly and Monthly KPI and Forecasting reports.
Provide reporting and visibility into Capacity, Execution of Plan and Target risks
Support business units on urgent shipments and new-launch models by establishing capacities and lead-times, closely monitoring each event milestone
Provide analysis and reporting through data process and maintenance (Forecast, Routing, KPI, Container and Load management)
Support cross-functional operations to ensure flawless execution and delivery of Samsung product
Lead and direct the activities of Forwarders and Carriers to provide effective logistics services and achieve deliveries within the KPI target. Coordinating with Forwarders, Brokers and Carriers to ensure issues are resolved immediately
Coordinate and execute special projects and ancillary services as requested
Interact with senior levels within the organization and within external contacts, serving as a subject matter expert
Support inter-department projects/activities as determined necessary
Work in a continuous improvement spirit across a highly-matrix working environment
Work proactively with 3PL’s, Vendors and Customers to ensure continuous improvement and optimal production solutions for future and current distribution channels
Stand-Up and stabilize new inbound gateways and processes to reduce lead-time and lower cost per unit
Assist Warehouses and Customers on critical shipments and non-standard requests
Identify strategies to improve lead-times, exceptions and production delays
Develop and lead the execution of Budget management and Cost Savings programs
Maintain processes in full compliance with all federal, state and local regulatory guidelines
Responsible for solving complex technical problems and responds to complex requests from internal and external customers
Makes decisions within guidelines and policies.

Skills and Qualifications
12-15 Years’ of directly related experience required
12 Years’ of experience in managing 3PL relationships at a strategic level
10 Years’ of experience leading projects, programs, or process management teams
Strong understanding of Supply Chain Life-Cycle
Experience with High Volume, Volatile and Cyclical Operations
Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain or a highly related field required
Master’s Degree preferred
Bi-Lingual capabilities a plus. (English, Korean)
In-depth knowledge and experience in the domestic distribution market
Prior experience in International, Omni-Channel Operations
High-Tech supply chain and/or logistics experience
Strong analytical skills with the ability to develop and create original analysis
Strong interpersonal and consensus building skills
Prior experience with SAP or similar business enterprise purchasing, inventory control and/or procurement management system required.
Expert ability in working within Excel and PowerPoint
Experience in developing new processes, systems and reporting from ground up
Strong quantitative skills with the ability to translate findings into quick actions
Ability to influence with or without formal authority
Ability to gain alignment and harmonize individuals across several departments
Ability to simplify complex ideas and communicate them concisely
Proven ability to drive process improvements and the ability to keep pace with explosive growth while motivating others to meet the challenges of an extremely deadline-driven environment
Remote management and travel (Local/Int’l) will be required to support the operation
Experience with development, implementing and monitoring of performance metrics
Drives creation of quality initiatives, process change initiatives and other Lean initiatives to facilitate Best-In-Class operations.
Ability to works closely with support staff (HR, Finance, Facilities, Safety, IT, Order Management and other Logistics members) to build and secure support and resources for projects and initiatives
Inspirational leader capabilities, ability to engage the team and 3PL management to resolve issues through collaborative problem solving
Experience working simultaneously with various cultures preferred
Ability to manage vendor service contracts with constant evaluation and monitoring of service levels
Ability to work independently with high degree of initiative and drive
Demonstrated ability to influence others in acceptance and approval and to provide clarification in matters regarding Transportation
The ability to read, interpret and simplify complex information from various documents to create clarity and ease of understanding
Ability to communicate in writing, through email, reports, presentations, or orally, product logistics matters to all audiences
Ability to clearly define objectives, identify tasks and work assignments, give direction and make quick decisions based upon applied knowledge of alternatives and work experience
