We are looking for an experienced and dedicated Apprentice and Journeyman Plumbers to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with piping system installations, inspections, and preventive maintenance. You will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing plumbing issues, mentoring junior staff, and ensuring all work is completed to code and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Installed valves, hangers, supports, and flanges inside piping systems with precision and efficiency.
Selected appropriate type and size of piping for various projects based on specifications and system requirements.
Inspected sewers and piping systems to evaluate quality, condition, and identify potential issues.
Conducted leak detection tests by filling pipe systems with water or air and monitored for pressure drops.
Assisted in repairs of steam, drainage, and sewer lines using specialized plumbing tools.
Offered guidance and on-the-job training to junior team members to promote skill development and team productivity.
Utilized ground microphones and listening discs to detect and pinpoint hidden leaks in water lines.
Performed preventive maintenance on water heaters, toilets, urinals, and other plumbing fixtures.
Qualifications:
Valid Apprentice or Journeyman Plumber License.
High school diploma or equivalent; trade school certification a plus.
Minimum 2 years of plumbing experience, including installation and maintenance.
Strong knowledge of plumbing codes, safety standards, and best practices.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
Proficient with plumbing tools and leak detection equipment.
Strong communication and leadership skills.
Working Conditions:
Work may involve exposure to noise, dirt, confined spaces, and all weather conditions.
Must be able to lift heavy equipment and work in physically demanding environments.
