Responsibilities:
Prepare and chop vegetables, fruits, and other ingredients as needed for various dishes.
Assist in the assembly of dishes and ensure that all food items are prepared according to recipes and specifications.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including proper storage of food items.
Follow all food safety guidelines and regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
Collaborate with chefs and kitchen staff to support menu planning and execution.
Help with inventory management by tracking supplies and notifying management of low stock levels.
Participate in catering events as required, ensuring high-quality food presentation and service.
Experience
Previous experience in the food industry, particularly in a restaurant or catering setting, is preferred.
Familiarity with food handling techniques and safety protocols is essential.
Knowledge of culinary practices, including menu planning and dietary department standards, is a plus.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset are important for success in this role.
