We are currently seeking a childcare director for our center. A key member of the leadership team and is responsible for training and supervising staff, developing curriculum, and overseeing daily program operations. This includes assisting families in their efforts to support children's development and preparing staff to effectively manage program issues and concerns.
The applicant must have previous director experience and must have state required credentials.
Some responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
to oversee the daily activities, employees, and financial aspects of day care center.
Direct activities of day care center facility to provide instruction and care for infants and children. Prepares and submits facility budget to session for approval.
Authorize purchase of instructional materials and teaching aids, such as books, toys, and games designed to stimulate learning.
Interview and recommend hiring of teaching and service staff. Conduct annual performance evaluations.
Confer with parents regarding facility activities, policies, and enrollment procedures
Collect payments from parents
Take parents on tours, write newsletters, and run staff meetings.
Confer with teaching staff regarding child's behavioral or learning problems, and recommends methods of modifying inappropriate behavior and encouraging learning experiences.
Train the teaching staff and make sure they comply with Texas childcare laws.
Review and evaluate facility activities to ensure conformance to state and local regulations.
Organize parent contact information and dietary restrictions or medical conditions for each child.
Contact parents when a child becomes ill.
May arrange medical attention for ill or injured child in accordance with parental instructions.
Oversee safety measures to promote a safe environment for the children.
May perform classroom duties during absence of regular teacher
Provide reports to the session of any site visit evaluations, findings and recommendations.
Experience:
Childcare: 5 years
Qualifications
CPR Certification (Required)
Medication Administration Certification (Required)
Food Handler Certification (Required)
Childcare Director Certification (Required)
Childcare Development Associate (Preferred)
Ancillary Certification (Preferred)
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $36,600.00 - $50,000.00 per year
