Cassidy, a Quanta Services Company, is looking for anAssistant Project Managerto join ourFoundationsteam in Prairieville, LA. (Baton Rouge Area) The Assistant Project Manager position will allow you to take the next step in reaching your full career potential. This role will allow you to learn from experienced Project Managers (PM) and build your own skill sets, management approaches, and knowledge base. This position will work closely with other Project Managers where you will be involved in creating schedules, job budgets, coordinating with superintendents, participating in project meetings, growing relationships with stakeholders, and ensuring all projects meet the standards of this company. What You'll Do

Attend pre-construction meeting with Project Manager.

Provide technical assistance, interpretation of drawings, recommend construction methods and equipment etc. as required.

Review bid packages for accuracy, completeness, and overall electrical scope of work.

Assist in instituting construction plans.

Organize crews & assign foreman to job task.

Generate list of required personnel, equipment and required tooling.

Arrange for personnel & equipment transfers to project.

Review and become familiar with multiple contracts.

Accountable for quality of work to ensure that it is being performed according to specifications.

Visit crews and monitor their safety, quality, & production.

Assist the Foreman in coordination of major project activities.

Review owner contract and ensure compliance

Assist in the development of master project schedule and quality control program

Assist with development of site-specific safety program

Assist with development of project specific quality program

Assist with development of site logistics plan

Participate in and document punch list process

Coordinate and document owner training

Assist with managing project costs relative to budget

Manage schedule updates

Constructively participate in project planning meetings

Help identify risks that could affect cost, schedule, or owner satisfaction

Assist with preparation of monthly project status reports and executive summaries

What You'll Bring

Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management/Science, Business, Engineering or related degree.

5+ years of field/work experienceORcombination of work and education, may be substituted

Knowledge of industry standards and safety regulations.

Construction project experience in various aspects of construction planning and management including, but not limited to engineering, estimating, bidding, subcontracts, scheduling, cost control, document control, etc.

Experience with Bluebeam, Microsoft, HeavyBid and Cost estimating software would be a plus.

Experience with construction software, including Procore, Microsoft Project, and Building Connected preferred.

Self-starter, able to work in a fast-paced environment in order to meet deadlines.

Excellent communication skills - both oral and written.

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
