Job Summary:
We are seeking a responsible and safety-conscious Class C Driver to operate test vehicles in support of autonomous vehicle (AV) development. This role involves driving vehicles on designated routes while monitoring onboard systems that are being developed to drive the vehicle autonomously in the future. Drivers will work closely with engineering teams to provide feedback and ensure accurate data collection.
Key Responsibilities:
Safely operate test vehicles on public and private roads according to company protocols.
Monitor and document vehicle performance and behavior, including any anomalies or safety concerns.
Follow detailed testing procedures and provide real-time feedback to the engineering team.
Complete detailed daily reports and logs of driving sessions and system performance.
Communicate clearly with remote teams and follow instructions from test engineers.
Maintain the cleanliness and operational readiness of the test vehicle.
Adhere to local traffic laws and company safety standards at all times.
Qualifications:
Valid Class C driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Minimum of 3 years of driving experience.
Comfortable with technology and able to learn new systems quickly.
Excellent observational skills and attention to detail.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends as needed.
