Family-owned & operated highly-rated auto repair shop seeking EXPERIENCED auto tech / mechanic for full-time position. Must be experienced enough to not have to be babysat (we stay VERY busy), but open to receive instruction/direction when needed. Experience in "light-duty" diesel repair a plus (cars, pickups, small box-trucks), but not a deal-breaker if you don't. We have a Diagnostic Tech, so knowing how to diagnose is not needed (although diagnosing vehicles would be a big plus to take some load off the other Diag Tech, & would be compensated - only if qualified to do so, since we have a high bench-mark for properly diagnosing vehicles to keep our reputation & customer satisfaction high).
Our shop is climate-controlled (AC & Heat), we provide free lunch (unless you choose to go take a break on your own), free water & coffee, breakroom with a full fridge/freezer & microwave. Our shop is open Monday thru Friday (weekends off) unless you want to play catch-up on a rare occassion on Saturday's (is voluntary). Pay is generous & Flag-Hour (pay-rate based on experience, pay-rate is without hesitation increased if you are a minimum of Master Certified with ASE).
ASE Certs will be verified prior to hire
Minimums:
Have solid experience in basic to major repairs & maintenance on typical makes/models that come thru shops.
Have integrity
Not sit around waiting but instead be proactive in doing tasks &/or grabbing next ticket
Steady worker (not snails-pace slow, yet not skipping steps or rushing then have "come backs")
Be reliable (not roll in really late consistently)
Keep tidy (while you dont need to be a clean-freak, at least keep your area organized & not messy when you leave)
Ability to receive constructive direction.
